The Cuban Artists Network collects donations of art supplies and brings them to artists in Cuba who would otherwise have extreme difficulty obtaining the most basic of supplies. We establish a dialogue between artists in Cuba and the arts community in the US by providing an artists exchange program that encourages a dialogue and an exchange of ideas and techniques. For the general public, we present gallery exhibitions and various programs highlighting art in Cuba.
The Cuban Artists Network strictly adheres to US regulations regarding Cuba and is a Tax-Exempt Non-Profit that is both non-partisan and non-political. All donations to Cuban Artists Network are tax deductible.
We met a group of artists in Havana who are at the top in their fields. Their influences range from the Cuban poster traditions of 1960-1980 and the Bauhaus Art Movement to comic books and pop art. What they create is amazing, and how they create it with such limited supplies is even more impressive. Please click on The Artists tab to see their work and learn more about each of the artists that we met. If you would like to learn about their process, please click on Making Art in Cuba.
